Guys,

Does anyone have a route or any advice for navigating the flooded timber North of the W Hwy ramp? Is there a long way around by heading NE from the ramp and then over/around the old Trimble Lake? I know it's pretty treacherous if you go straight N from the ramp. Grew up around the lake, but mostly fished the Camp Branch arm.

It's been 24 days, so hopefully you've figured it out!

I fish the lake twice a year right around this time due to an event out there. I figured out how to navigate that area by watching other boats. Yes, you can run up there and you take a NE heading after going through the No Wake area past the bridge. Follow another boat or idle through it the first time. You'll see the markers on the trees that the club guys usually do a good job of maintaining (it's similar to markings they have on the Camp Branch side). It can be really hard to find the lanes when the water is high, and I wouldn't recommend trying to find the lane during high water without following a boat that knows that they are doing.
