Aqua-Vu Micro Stealth 4.3

Featured Replies

Hey All,

While watching Zona's awesome fishing show, my GF saw the underwater camera view. She said she would love to watch the fish like that while I was fishing, so I started poking around looking at underwater cameras. I came across this one at about $240 bucks from BPS. Now, I know absolutely nothing about underwater cameras. I did try the search feature on the forums, but about everything I found was several years old or not this model, and with electronics, I know 2 years is like 10(or something like that).

To get to the point, does anyone have any experience with this model? Is this too cheap to be decent? or are there better options?

I should also say, we rarely have any clear water around here, so is it a waste to even try a camera without clear water?

thanks

Mongo

I’ve got an older Aquaview, and my experience has been if you don’t have clear water, you’re probably wasting your time. You can still see stuff if you literally hug the bottom in stained water, usually about 2 seconds before the camera runs into it and hangs - lol. Then the heart racing begins as you try to unsnag it without snapping the cable and rendering the thing useless ? So 4 ft of vis or better, might be good enough. If you only have 1-3 ft, or even less, save your money.

This is exactly what I was after!

Thanks!
