My friend is moving to a house with a small lake in the back. He wants to get a small boat so we can get out there and give it a try. Something we can carry and may be able to handle a TM. Storage is the backyard and there is no ramp or dock. A jon boat or something like it. Any suggestions? Thanx.

If your question is about what kind of boat meets your descrition, I think a Jon Boat is perfect. It's light weight, some have handles in front and back, and they can handle a trolling motor. They can be stored leaning against a fence or house, and best of all you can find them dirt cheap. Try craigslist I found my boat there for a great deal, especially in these times.
