Motor mount question

Featured Replies

I have a 1966 14' Starcraft aluminum boat with 15hp motor. I pulled the motor off and there is a moulded rubber piece that fits over the transom. It is weathered and in bad shape. I don't know what it's called or even if they make such a thing anymore? Was this just used to protect the transom? Is it necessary or is there a different method that's used?

Thanks!

Thanks for the info, but $36 is a bit much for a piece of rubber. I try to find another way.

that was just from cabela's I am sure you can find it elsewhere cheaper. I just posted that for the picture.

$23 here http://www.reddenmarine.com/marine-supplies.cfm/fuel-system-miscellaneous/moeller-9907410/rubber-transom-pad.html

Thanks again, $23 is more reasonable. I checked every place I could think of and the best I could do was $30.
