Livewell Question

Featured Replies

I have purchased an 88 model astroglass and it has about 20 gallon livewell.  I have 2 switches on the panel and 1 says aerator and the other one says livewell controll center.

The valve that controlls the water in or out is broke so it is always open.  I can shut the livewell off by just plugging the bottom for the time being.

My problem is that both switches pump in fresh water.  It does not appear that either switch will just aerate the water that is already in the livewell.  I have a tournament and or temps are close to 100 degress everyday.

My question:  Would it be better to keep pumping in fresh water, or would it be better to just treat the water once since pumping in fresh water will be hot water?

I plan on icing the water, using please release me, and I also was going to use about 5 ozs of 3%hydrogen peroxide.

Thanks
