I have the Expride A 6’10 M and it is perfect for jerk baits, lighter topwaters, etc. It is one of my favorite rods. The guys on Tactical Bassin say the new Exprides AB’s are the same. Some of other forums say the new rods are stiffer and not as good for jerk baits. The hadn’t fished them though, only handled them. Is there anyone out there who had the old model and now the new one?

    Both the 6'10" models seem to have same action.

    The new model is a little lighter in weight.

    Fishing side by side, it hard to tell a difference.

    Would this rod be good for target casting squarebills(KVD 1.5 and Crush 50X) cruising the bank in the spring?  Been thinking about picking up this rod like the lure ratings and the length of it at 6'10".
