Deck lids

Featured Replies

I cracked a livewell lid this year, I did order a replacement, but while I was waiting for it to be shipped, I cut a piece of treated OSB and used liquid nails to secure it to the underside of the broken lid. The liquid nails didn't hold up as well as I thought it would have.

The rest of my deck lids are starting to feel soft and I feel like they could also crack. I don't have the $2000 that Ranger wants to replace all the deck lids.

My question is this...does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix my deck lids that doesn't involve using screws to attach the wood.

I use this stuff all the time at work to glue formica to plywood.  Trust me, once you stick it, it ain't coming off.  It was a three man job to remove a piece that was about six foot long and twenty inches wide.  That being said, I don't know how it would hold up to being wet or out in the elements.  I had no idea it was so expensive either...$300 for five gallons!!  It does go a long way though.
