Is this a good deal

Featured Replies

1200.00 bucks for a 17ft 85 nitro bass boat w/150 mercury black max outboard and 46lb thrust 12V trolling motor and trailer.  owner says boat needs paint or gelcoat and new carpeting.  What do you all think. I would post the link to the craigslist advert. but I Can't yet, not enough posts. Owner also has a video of the motor starting on youtube, it sounds pretty good

Make sure you take the boat out on the water and run it for a while , do a pressure test on the motor , and check the transom .

Is it a good deal , probably not.Tooooo old.

that sounds like alot of work that will have to be done on the boat.  From experience the carpet would take you around 15 hours alone.  The gel coat can be expensive.  If the engine is not 100% then that will nickle and dime you to death while you are getting used to the boat.
