Expride light + reviews

Featured Replies

Does anyone have any feedback on the shimano Expride light +?

I’m considering buying one for a dedicated ned rod but don’t see many reviews or opinions. I see the new B version is out now and some say it’s action is a little heavier than the A version

thanks

I have an Expride A light +, I use it for Ned rigs, small cranks, 1/16 beetle spin, 3.5” original Rapala. It’s my favorite ned rig rod. In my opinion, it’s a nice unique rod. It is somewhere between a light and a medium light just as the + states. I have a light version of the new line on order.

I have read in a few reviews people saying that they are closer to a medium light than the older version.

My A series light + was delivered today. I’m really impressed with it. I put a 2000 vanford on it with 10# PP. It’ll sling a 1/16 ball jig with no plastic really far. I’m just waiting on the river levels to drop to give it a go. It does seem to be an excellent ned rig rod for sure.
