Good Deal on a Ranger?

Featured Replies

I stumbled across a deal this morning while working on a 2003 Ranger 175VS.

I stopped and checked the boat out. It has the original Minn Kota trolling motor on it, a garmin fish finder, a 125 hp Mercury, and has been garage kept while not being used.

He is asking $9500 for it, but I think he will come down. The boat looks very clean, with only normal wear signs on it. I know the guy selling it, and a few people he has fished with, so I trust them when they say it runs just fine and he hasn't had any problems with it.

I'm not much of a boat expert, but this seems like a good buy to me.

Sounds like a good deal to me as well, but still have the engine checked out before you buy!!

Look up NADA values, as with any boat purchase test for compression, check hull thoroughly, and make sure the trailer is in good shape.  I bought my 185vs Intracoastal for about 3.5K more than yours used, it was garage kept and motor had less than 50 hours, so I think you have a winner there.
