Hello!

Anyone using this rod? I'm considering one but I've heard mixed things. I guess I'm just looking for some overall impressions, especially with regards to versatility since I fish from kayak and shore. The length is definitely right ?

Thanks!

Yes, I have this rod. Traded some stuff in last summer to get it mostly for topwater. Very light, excellant balance, amazing build quality, however - it didn't work for my application. I like a very stiff tip for walking baits and this has just a little more give in the tip than I prefer. I think it would be excellent for just about any application, just not stiff enough for what I wanted. Casts 3/8 to maybe 7/8 extremely well, but like I said, I prefer a little stiffer tip section for my use. Don't know about sensitivity since I didn't use it for that, but in my opinion it is a fantastic rod, just not for me.

Thanks for your thoughts. I'm kinda looking for a MH junk fishing rod for my kayak, something I can throw a worm on, but also a chatterbait. Jack of all trades, not a master of one. I'm wondering if this rod might be too soft for me as well.

I've also read (but don't know from experience) that it's supposed to be a great spinner bait rod too, if that helps any.
