Guys at Green Top told me about a place in Hartfield, Virginia that will work on Lowrance units.

I called the shop today and they confirmed that they work on Lowrance products, which is great since Lowrance will not work on Lowrance products.

I may drop off my two units to them this week and will let everyone know if they can fix my two units.

If so, I will give everyone their name and address in case you have a problem with your Lowrance unit so you can either mail or bring it to their location.

Sure would be nice to have my two Lowrance units back in working condition before tournament season begins in March. 

Took my two Lowrance units to Kevin at Marine Electronics of Hartfield, Inc. and got them corrected and up and running.

Kevin told me that Lowrance is no longer supporting the older models and that he and other Lowrance retailers have complained to the company about this policy.

Kevin and Janice are wonderful people and Kevin is extremely knowledgeable about marine electronics of all kinds.

Good to hear Sam!  Maybe I can get my LCX-15 to act like a sonar/chart plotter again! 

BTW, how long did it take you from Hampton to get there?

Nemesis, taking Route 17 to Gloucester and then cutting over to Route 3 up to 198 and then across the bridge and take a left onto 3/33, the shop will be on your right.

Probably an hour without traffic problems from Newport News, if not less.

It took me about an hour and a half from Mount Trashmore area in Virginia beach so your trip should be a lot faster.
