Wow!  Casting a 1/2 to 3/4in a stiff wind wasn’t ideal but I got it done.  Sensitively wasn’t such a concern with a moving bait.  It preloaded just enough.  It’s light!  So casting a thousand times was okay.   Fighting a fish was a d**n pleasure. I got 9 lb Stripers to bend to my will.  I had a regular garden variety SLX DC on it because honestly it has the freshest braid in the correct poundage.  The ferrules never budged.

I want to buy the spinning rig now, but I can’t come up with a solid story for the wife just yet.  :D

Sun is setting on my last day in Oklahoma.

Any chance you have tried hollow belly frogs on the fast tip?
