how to mount a depthfinder on a 12 ft. boat

just got a hummingbird 798ci.  gonna use it on the big boat but i bought another transducer so i can take it on smaller lakes and ponds. but i need a portable housing or a way to mount it so doesnt slide everywhere. and its a plastic boat. haha from field n stream . dont hate. it rocks. thanks guys! pics of mounts or the way you guys place it on your seats would be great!

Just buy another mount and secure that to the little boat wherever it is convenient for you to operate and see. You would just need another power cord then install the power cord plug and transducer plug in the mount cable collector. Just a snap-in and out between boats.

I did that with my 798ci SI to use it between the console and bow.

The mount part number for the 798ci SI is MSM, the mount part number for the 798ci HD SI is MS 700E. The power cord is PC-11.
