Headed down next week for three days, one day to pre-fish and two day tourney. I've never been to the lake. Whats the water temp right now? I know the cold front this weekend is going to push it down and fish will adjust. Local lake I'm fishing right now fish are moving up bigger creeks following bait, hopefully Gaston will be about the same.

I was on there 2 maybe 3 weeks ago. Temps were mid to upper 70s. I found fish closer to the dam on main lake points with weeds and a decent drop. Fish were 5-8fow. 

 

Unless it dropped dramatically id expect them to be mid way up the main creeks. 

 

Let me know how it goes I'll be on it not long after you to visit the inlaws.
