What rod should I get for my Calcutta 401 TE?

Hey guys.

I recently purchased a Calcutta TE 401 and I am looking to get a rod for it. I will use this setup for multi-species rod here in Los Angeles area. I will use it for calico bass off party boats, surf fishing, pier fishing,catfish, and smaller swim baits for bass.

At first I was considering G loomis Pro Blue but they dont come in 8'.

A local tackle shop suggest the Gloomis Salmon (Backbounce) SABBR965C 8' 17 - 40lb line 2 - 8oz lure for $265. If this is a good choice is there any place to get it for a cheaper price?

Any suggestions are welcome. Thank you in advance!
