Just ordered a new Megabass Orochi X

Featured Replies

I order the 7ft M spinning Jade Python.  This will be my first Megabass rod.  If I'm not impressed I will get a NRX+ but I am hoping this will be an amazing rod. I am really picky when it comes to spinning rod handles.

A $250 import rod vs a $600+ NRX, the better comparison is the P5 line. The Orochi are closer to IMX.

This....

Nowadays JDM destroyers are around orochi prices as well...Just got a z crank Elsiel for under $300 shipped..

I do like the orrochi line though. The enforcer and shakey head are both pretty darn good rods for the cost. Well made.

Apparently they are pretty heavy with the new blank material they are using. Saw a video where a 7'2" MH weighed 5.7oz. I'm not sure how this line will stack up against the competition with that significant of a difference in weight vs other options in that price range. Let us know how it is

Yeah I decided I wanted to try Destroyer. I ordered a Windbuster.  If I don't like this I will go to NRX+

Yeah I figured I need to give a fair comparison and it was only 75 dollars more for the Destroyer.
