First time out with the Salamadura SV TW XHL70.

Spooled to bevel with 12# Kastking Monofilament (.33mm/.013).  Box says 75 yards for this pound test at .285mm/.0112 diameter.  So a little less than 75 yards unless the line is only supposed to be spooled to the engraved line on the spool.  Regardless, I was seeing the radius at the bottom of the spool.  A longer rod or better thumb control like many of you have (allowing brake to be set around 3) should see the reel spooled.  Or once broke in, maybe spooled at my setting.

Rod is an Elite Tech Smallmouth 6'10" MH-MF.  Lure a 5/8 oz. Rapala Clackin' Rap 07.  Rod is rated 3/8-1 oz.  Looks like I need to drop down to a smaller diameter line and mount the reel on a Medium power rod.

I did catch a crappie in the 14-15 inch long area.  It hooked itself and unhooked itself at the bank.  Just the way we like.
