the ohh face Posted January 1, 2007 Posted January 1, 2007 Ok I got the daiwa viento for christmas and i need to decide on a rod for it. I already have a chronarch on a stcroix avid M/H. I was thinking about getting a IMX 844 and putting the cronarch on it for flipping and pitching. The viento will go on the st croix. that sound like a good idea or does anyone have a better suggestion? Quote
HPBB Posted January 7, 2007 Posted January 7, 2007 Sounds good to me. I kinda have the same problem. i just bought a viento and was going to put it on one of my flippin sticks, a St Croix Avid/AC710HF ( 7'10" heavy power /flippin). I love the viento, its so smooth, but after trying it, I liked my old Team Daiwa-S 103SDL for flippin better. So it went back on that flippin stick. I am now using the viento on a 6'6" MH X-Fast tip, Pinnicale. for soft plastics and C-rig. It works great. Put 10# P-Line Floroclear on it and the twitching bar works great for crawling a tube slowly on the bottom. Works great for a shaky-head too. Quote
