25 Tatula 200

Featured Replies

New Tatula 200 for 2025.  The current Tatula HD dates back to 2015.  The new one uses a taller spool but looks to be more narrow.  Palming wise it should palm a little taller than the current Tatula 200 but not nearly as wide thanks to the more narrow spool and the fact that 1st gen Tatulas were big blocky reels.

Narrow 38mm spool instead of the wide 36mm of the current 200.  The knobs look like chunkier version of the new style Daiwa knobs everyone hates.  No more big paddle knobs for the 200.  They do look like are bigger than normal knobs found on the Zillion, Alphas and Tatula 100 making handle swaps a thing for other Daiwa reels if sold separately (come on TTT).

Wonder what retail will be. Looks sick from the video, but that's to be expected.

Vid I found on the net.  It's your basic unboxing but there are some side comparisons of the new 200 and 100 reel bodies and spools side by side to get an idea of the size increase.  This also applies to the new 150 since it uses the same body.

I bought one of these and liked it enough to buy another. The hyperdrive gears are just so smooth.

Using them for a-rig, and 1oz-4oz swimbaits.
