Which tatula XT rod????

Featured Replies

Hey everyone. Local fleet farm has Tatula XT rods in stock. I mostly throw T rigs 1/8-1/4 ounce with large ribbon tails, small craws and creatures, Senkos and flukes, finesse spinner baits, chatter baits 3/8-1/2 like the mini max, occasional frog or buzz bait. Jerk baits. And I I bank fish.

so the question is for a somewhat do all??
7’ M 1/4-3/4

7’3” MH 1/4-1

That's a wide range of lure weights. 1/4-1 oz MH would be better suited for the chatter baits you mentioned, but it won't be the best for 1/8-1/4 trigs. BTW, Tatula XT rods are a little tip heavy. I would suggest the regular Tatula rods.

That’s what I was thinking. It’s rated for it but how effective will it be at the bottom end of the rating. I’ll have to take a look at a regular tatula as well

Also that 1/4-1 is the rating of the rod not me just throwing numbers out of lure weights

I have the Tatula XT 6'10 MH-R and a Rebellion 6'10 MH-R, both rated 1/4-1oz. The lure rating is accurate. These particular models are JDM models that I found at a local retailer. Both are nice rods, the XT has the cross weave wrap on the lower half of the rod, not the upper portion. The Rebellion has cross weave wrap on the whole blank, but has been discontinued. They fish different than they feel, hard to explain. I use them for reaction lures.
