Finesse spinning rods?

Featured Replies

I'd like one spinning rod for:

4" worms rigged on small jig heads

light/small crankbaits

drop-shot rigs

small jigs & groups

floating worms

skipping soft plastics under docks etc.

I'm considering a 7' medium action St Croix Avid and the 6' 6" All Star medium action with/extra fast tip.

Opinions please. Are there other rods you like better?

An x-tra fast rod would qualify for all your techniques with the possibe exception of throwing cranks and your rod length would be a little long for skipping baits under docks. Just my opinion.

The rod I would get that would suit your techniques would be a St. Croix Avid 6'3' x-tra fast.

Like I said earlier this is just my opinion.
