    Well, not really having the $$ for it certainly helps. Not needing a smaller reel also helps.

    But I just hate to pass up good deals. Story of my life.

    Why oh why did Cabelas have to send that $20 off code to me TODAY of all days?

    Buying this reel would mean having to buy another rod, so that's another $100 on top of the reel price.

    Life was so much easier when I just bought Wal Mart tackle... :'(

    I know what you mean,  I'm not looking forward to telling the wife in the morning what I done....but I hate to pass on deals.  She may see it differently though! ::)
