I started fishing last August - December, caught some bass, learned a lot and gained experience. This will be my first Spring and Summer season here in Southern California. What's fishing like during that time of year, and what lure's or baits do you guys preferring throwing?

April-May-June are the best months here to try lots of different baits. In my experience, if you want to the old stand-bys, they work great, but so do things like creature baits, spinnerbaits, underspins, etc. The bass are finishing up their spawning activities, and they are hungry and even a little bit. . . . cranky.
