I bought a new reel a Pinnacle Solene....When I cast the line balls up and it does not cast very far, what am I doing wrong.  Is there a trick using this reel? :-/

you may have over filled the spool or put your line on backwards

Thanks, I will try taking some line off and if that does not work I will redo it and see what happens.

Thanks for all the help.  Not farming any longer so now I have time to learn to fish....

I took some line off.  I had it checked and the line was not backwards.  Now when I cast it only goes out about 10 feet.  I cannot get it to cast out any farther.....

What type of line would be best to use..

Yes there is. They posted a link to how to set up your baitcaster. You might try following it closely....Then do a lot of practicing!!!
