death of a good freind

Featured Replies

Yesterday was out at the local lakes was having a good day of fishing was catching a couple when all of a sudden my favorite reel stops working. Took it home immediately started to take it apart to see what was a matter. Thought I had stripped a gear.In the process of dismantelifcation took the tenioner cap off and the part the cap screws onto broke into 2 pieces.(d**n)It looks asif this piece is pressed into the molded body of the reel. :'( :'( So the up side of this is I GET TO BUY A NEW REEL YAY!!!!!

This is going to sound crazy to some people, but I have deliberately tried to fix things that were way beyond my expertise.  I did it so I would screw it up so bad I could then justify getting something new.

Bassers work in mysterious ways.
