What would be a good bait/lure to have on a 6'6med action rod and a 5:8:1 reel?Thanks!

    You can fish a lot of different baits with that set up. Smaller spinnerbaits, weightless worms etc. I think the cover you are fishing in and the action of the rod would be more of a factor than the rod itself.

    My fishing partner does 99% of his fishing with a 6'6" medium fast action rod and I think there are a bunch of people on here that would say of they could only carry one outfit it would be a 6'6" medium action due to its versatility.
