trying to identify 2 spinning rods...

Featured Replies

i have 2 rods that i like alot. my uncle bought them for me for a b-day present a coupe years ago. they are 6'6" medium heavy rods. both spinning rods grey in color with black foam handles. they are really nice rods and very stiff like broomsticks. love em for hooken bass. anyway they are similar looking but have there diffrences one says AVENGER on it and the other says BUCANEER. no brand name on them or anything just that and the heavyness and the recomended line weight.  my uncle said he got them at kmart in a thing they call the circuit to find these nice rods  where they cover all the kmarts in the area i guess in early spring when the new rods come in.

any idea anyone?

From what i can find with those names, i come up with BERKLEY brand.

i just google searched "fishing rod, Avenger"...and "fishing rod, Buccaneer"

The most popular was the Okuma Avenger, but you said they were both the same, just different names, and i could not find anything about an Okuma Buccaneer...but did find a Berkley Buccaneer.  Then searched for Berkley Avenger and got a couple hits.
