Who makes the blanks for Gander Rods?

Featured Replies

I was recently at Gander Mountain in Winchester Va. and had a few Pro Guide Series spinning rods in my hand. I really thought they were alright for around 140 bucks. Are the blanks St. Croix?, or should I say, the same ones SC uses, as they sort of felt like it to me.

I actually fish with three gander mtn. tournament series rods. I like them so much for the price that I did a search and there are a few posts that "suggest" that they are made in the st. croix factory. The tournament series rods are light, have fuji alconite guides, and come with a lifetime warranty...all for $79.99. I own loomis, st. croix, airrus, and powell...and what rod do I put on my new shimano calais......7MH gander mtn. Figure that one out.

Not sure what they are, but St Croix make their own blanks.
