I have a chance to buy some Gary Yamamoto tournament rods.They are 7'6" 1 piece rods,but I cannot find any info on them.Any help would be appreciated. Ivan

I've handled a couple at a local shop and didn't like them at all, not sure why but they just didn't feel right and I hate the foam grips. Gives the rod a 'cheap' look and feel IMO...

These aren't the GY rods you referred to but I bought a couple of those some years ago and did not like them.....way too heavy and way too few line guides.

hm yeah i guess so. Because the one's I handled had foam grips and just seemed cheaply made...
