Sufix Siege Camo

Featured Replies

I spooled a reel with Sufix Siege "Camo" for topwater fishing and realy like the line. It's smooth, casts well, holds a good knot, and has little memory.

The shallow waters I fish, 7' or less, are pretty stained. On a good day I can see my bait 18" below the surface, but typically beyond 12" is the dark abyss. So my question. Do you see any issues using this line for cranks, jigs and weighted plastics with respect to visibility? Is the line too dark, or will the broken color pattern of "camo" be enough to reduce line visibility in heavy stained water?

I'd appreciate your feedback.

camo line usualy does break up the outline, no matter what kind of water. i always camoflage my powerpro w/ a brown sharpie, making little dashes along the first few feet. the effect is greater (line is less visible) in stained water w/ baits that are moving...even if its just crawling a worm.

The camo suffix seige looks like it uses 3 or 4 different tones, so it should work very well ;)

I don't think that you need to worry about line visibility.

x2. I agree. With the water as you described it, line visibility should be less of an issue. I don't see the need to go any higher than 10 and maybe 12# at the very highest. I have had good success with regular siege at both 10 and 12# test with cranks and topwaters and unless I don't want the cranks to dive deeper, I prefer 10#.

Hey, I bought the Sufix Camo in 14 & 20 lbs.  I was at BPS today & they had them.  Price isn't that bad at $7.99 for 330 yds.

I'll be spooling some baitcast reels w/ the new Camo line tonight.

Thanks for the heads-up on this line!

were i fish the smoke green works great, sufix is the only line i fish with, great stuff
