ALLS TARS AT CABELAS

Featured Replies

:-[ They only have the whole INSITICT line. NO ASR"S, No IM 10 TEAM ALL STAR. They will not have them for sale until Spring, after invetory . These rods only available via Catalog or Internet till then. Which is wierd b/c last week they had 3 ASR's on display, my firend there said the saleman from All Star left them there to see customer reaction, lotta good that does me.

Muddy,

I know it is unfortunate but it will help your mental health!  I have an Avid that has gone unused since getting it and I get it out and drag it through the yard, flip it into a bucket, all sorts of things that make me look and feel crazy.  The ice will be around for a while so I think you have a little time man.  Either way its not the first time any of us have been let down by the lack of equipment B)

Yeah I know that it is hard to find them right now. I went to both BPS and Sportsmans Warehouse and asked about the ASRs, and they were just like "Whats and ASR?"

Dont worry www.all-americanoutdoors.com has them and can ship them to you all for the price of one plus tax at cabelas.

Cabelas- 99.99 + (4-6 tax) = 103.99 - 105.99

All American- 90.00 + (12-15 shipping) = 102 - 105

The only thing is that I would call them when you place an order and tell them which one it is if you order a rod, as they mainly deal in reels, and dont have a lot of rods on site.

So what's so good about these ASR's. They look hot, but has anyone used one?

For $90 , I'm about to click buy.  They look like rods that usually cost $200.

I just got a PM from 5 Bass, my next spinning rod will be an ASR

I really don't like you right now muddy. I had just gotten in the state of mind in which I didn't need any more rods or reels, and I was satisfied with the ones I had.

Now, after seeing this thread, I'm a click away from ordering the 6'6 M worm rod and a Citica 100D. If I can hold out until tomorrow, I'd be amazed.

I see your problem MM...you're asking Cabela's about ALLS TARS, not All Stars.   B) ;D

Like Muddy said, I will post another review after a couple months so that I can see the full stregnths and weaknesses, but my first impression is B) this rod is awesome.

All Star Platinums

Browning Midas

H&H HX4's

H&H Kevlar

BPS Extreme

A guy in my club let me borrow a Helium while I was fishing with him once. Nice rod light, sensitive, but still dont like the "Power hump" grip style. Also not a fan of the guides or color.

G.Loomis- never tried them. I like to keep rods around 150$. Still on the college salary of almost nada B)

WHAT'S THIS GOT TO DO WITH THE PRICE OF TOMATOES IN THE NORTH POLE

5 Bass asked what other rods I havd used, and after I posted, half the thread dissapeared.

I was mainly just trying to get a feel of the rods he has used so I'd know where he's coming from when he's talking about the ASR's....like what he's comparing them to.
