i got a sick dropshot combo for xmas its:

shimano stradic 2500 reel

and

shimano crucial 6'8' m rod

anyone ever used either of these i think they're pretty sick

    Is it the Drop Shot rod in the Crucial line up?  If so it is definitely a sick combo.  That is basically the exact combo I use and love it.  I've caught bass out of 50' of water on that rod.

    I've got the Crucial DS Rod, and it is awesome. I have a Symetre on mine, but for the $$$, you can't beat that stick.

    I have a Tierra 2000 matched with the 7'2" M crucial drop shot.  Haven't used it yet, but it feels like a sweet combo.  Can't wait till I get my boat back on wednsday to use it.
