crucial crankbait rod

Featured Replies

Ive changed all of my rods to crucials except for the crankbait rod. Does does anybody have one? How does it perform? I will be using for most DT4s,6s, and other sallow to medium cranks. I own two Crankin' sticks 7'med amd med heavy but want to sell them to upgrade.

I'm not familiar with Crucial rods by any means but if its not a glass rod or at very least, a composite rod, I wouldn't even consider it a crankbait rod.....and I'd keep looking.

I have one in a spinning configuration.  They do have graphite but a different process called tx4 or something (I'd have to look at my rod again to get name correct) that makes it sensitive yet flexible.  I not only use it for cranks, which I have caught many fish on, but even use it for small bottom bouncing baits a lot.  I can feel as good with it as I can most my other jig/worm rods.

I have two of the Crucial CB rods. They are a different blank matrial than the other Crucials (TC4 blank which is parbolic action).

I have the 7' M and 7'MH. I use the M action for 200, 300 Bandits and Rattletraps. the MH is reserved for Series 5, Norman DD14 and DD22's.

For the Money they are a great rod.
