Shimano Compre 6'10" MH extra fast

Featured Replies

Okay so I came across this stick and picked it up.

What would you guys use this for? T-rigs and Jigs?

Pairing it up with a Citica 200D.

Thoughts?

This is it for me as far as rods and reels go this year. I swear..... :;)

I need ice-out to come fast. Or I'm going to be broke and wearing multiple battle wounds from the wife.  ;D

In the past month I have bought the following setups:

Citica 100dsv and put it on a Shimano Clarus 6'6" M MF

Revo S going on a 6'6" Falcon Lowrider MH F

Citica 200D being put on this Compre

My wallet hurts. Thankfully I have 60 bucks coming back from Shimanos rebate program.

Yep I have a johnny morris on that exact rod and it is a decent set up but if you can return that and get a sweet crucial totally worth the money my dad and i have 4. Any who its a nice rod little heavy, ok sensitivity the tip i find soft though which was a real turnoff for me.

What did you find it best suited for? I'll find out for myself eventually but I would like to here your take.

A nice texas rigged worm.

Makes a very good frog rod too.  I use it for worms & spinnerbaits also.  It has very good back bone for frog lures like the Spro Bronze Eye on mats.

Good to know. Pretty much have all the setups I "need" now for different applications. Fish the horny toad last year and hookups were horrible. But I was also using what I could afford at the time.....a 7 foot medium action cheap spinning rod. Can't wait to use these new setups. Thanks again guys.

I've got that rod. I use it for jigs, t-rigs, c-rigs and spinnerbaits. It's a great jig rod.

I have caught a ton of fish with it. Every time I think I want to upgrade I go out and catch a bunch of fish with it.
