XPS Fluoro on sale at BPS online

Featured Replies

$9.37 for up to 14 lb test.

Not worth it if that's all you plan on getting with shipping at 4 bucks and some change but there are some other items on sale that could make it a deal. Picked up some Bomber Square As along with some of the 14 lb test Fluoro. Just a heads up.

I ordered another spool of 17# XPS flouro last night for $10.71 along with a four more BPS Enticer jigs ($1.29 ea.) and 3 packs of Paca Chunks ($1.59 ea.) ;)

From the looks of the flyer, it's pretty much the same stuff that was on sale at the store during the Spring Classic, but this time it's catalog and internet only.

They just can't make it easy on me, can they?  >;)

You should be able to go to your local store.  They'll honor internet prices in-store, at least they should.  I've never had a problem with it in the past.   :)

Oh, I know.  ;) I only live about 15 miles from the Atlanta BPS, but with the current gas prices it's actually cheaper to pay shipping for anything under $25 than it is to drive my Suburban to the store.   ;D

I just took all mine off my spinning reel and threw it in the trash.  Back to Yo Zuri.....

Just wasn't for me.  :-/

Why?

Couldn't deal with the memory. I soaked it in hot water, then spooled it on while running it through a rag soaked with KVD. Same way I always put line on. It comes off the spool and sounds like a steel cable going through the guides. Big loops and twists in it. Stiff as a mofo. It does have incredible knot strengththough, I'll give it that.

I put the Yo Zuri on because it is way more manageable IMO....

Went out today and was back in bidness with the Hybrid Ultrasoft.

I still have the 17lb BPS flouro on the Revo SX and so far it's okay....but I have more Yo Zuri 12lb waiting in the wings just in case! 8-)

Matt, what # test were you using on your spinning gear? I bought a spool of the 6 lb for my Stradics but you are making me re-think that....

I spooled up one of my TD-Z's with 12 lb and fished it over the weekend and I am not super impressed....but...the jury is still out.

I've been pleased with it so far, but I'm only using it on a baitcaster not a spinning reel.

I love my 8 lb test on my Symmetre. I still get the occasional line twist but no more than other lines I have tried. I'd jump on this if anybody is looking for some fluoro

Memory on the 8 lb?   :-?

I've had 8 lb. on a Flooger Supreme for the last two months, hadn't fished it at all until Saturday evening.  Nothing more than usual memory.

Memory on the 8 lb? :-?

Yup... :-? Spooled it like every other reel I have. Put the Yo Zuri on, good as gold... Casts way farther too....
