Berkley Big Game Hi Test for swimbaits?

Featured Replies

I am starting to get into fishing with swimbaits (hudds, mattlures, 3:16) up here in Maine. I have heard over and over again that the regular big game line is good for swimbaiting.  I came across the high test version at a local store for $5 for a 1/4 pound spool compared to $17.

My question is this: The spool is of the electric green color. I fish mostly clear water here in Maine and I want to know if that color is going to loose me possible fish. Has anyone used that color line for swimbaits in mostly clear water?

I haven't posted enough to post a link to show the color, but it's available at cabelas online store.

Any recommendations are welcome, thank you for your time.
