Sorry for another thread, I'm just trying to make sure that I can get as much advice on the different rods I'm looking at as I can.

Anyone have experience with the 7'6" Heavy Telescopic in particular? (TD-S76THFB) How long is the rod when retracted?

    Dan - I don't have the TD-S rod, but I have the Light & Tough (TL-76T-5FB) 7'6" flippin stick.  When collapsed, the rod is right around 6'.

    Most collapsable rods are 6ft with a few going 5'6 and what not.

    thanks fellas. I ended up going with the BPS Extreme 7'6" MH Telescoping. I ended up getting it for $75 while it was on sale. The TD -S rod was tempting but I figured I'd save the extra money.
