what are the lure weight reccomendations  for the rod?

the reel will handle em no prob. and the rod seems like it would, as long as the lures are within the weight reccomendation.

Dave, I know what you are, saying but some rods under rate the load the rod can handle I know it may not be safe but. The reel is not what i am worried about, it is the length, action and power of the rod. I would like info with a bit of backup or experience. (sorry if i come off strong) :)

You'll be fine.  What are you planning on throwing?  6" hudds, mattlures, 3:16 soft baits, etc., should be great for this rod.  You get the picture, just don't go throwing any 10" stocker trouts or anything and you'll be set.

over 7' and XH should be fine to throw swimbaits.
