Someone just had a couple of those listed on the flea market wondering what the value of them was.

Not really sure on the collectability of that particular Storm model.  There are some on Ebay but most have been going for around $4 - 6.

I was referring to their action and fish catching rep,

The first thing I did when i saw it was to check ebay.  Seeing that it was not going to get me that new mercedes I am wondering about the qualities of the bait.  It actually does not have that classic "storm" look to it, , but being a huge fan of the wiggle wart, I gotta ask.

there are lots of guys here in Ark. still swear by that bait.

Darn it, Avid - - you're going to drive prices up!!

Lightnin' Shads suck horribly!!!   Nobody bid on them....you'll regret it!!!   ;)

Actually, I've quietly been using them for the past couple of years - - and yes, they work quite well.   I caught my biggest largemouth all summer on one.....

The bait you're holding is the one I have the most experience with.  Has a very natural swimming action - fairly tight - dives into the low teens easily.   I used to have the 1 oz, 20'+ diver.....but that thing is just a monster - they're pretty rare and fetch a good price on ebay (like $20+ for some colors).

One tip - - the stock hooks are pretty big and heavy - the bait livens up considerably if you switch to a smaller, lighter wire hook (the back hook making the most notable difference).

Well thank you Mr. Stringjam.

Seems like I may have a winner here.

I'll let y'all know how it works on Florida LM'S

Tough bait to use in these Florida waters as most lake are too shallow for them. Killer on the Kissimmee river.

Amen brother.

I have a window of opportunity right now.

I still have to wait a little bit till I can load the canoe into the p/u truck, but the water is very high right now.

My home lake has some deep trenches that should go to 15' or more right now.

I also will use heavier line and shorter casts to shave some depth.

with my GLX I can feel a crank nipping the bottom vegetation.  totally cool, not to mention deadly.
