All Star ASR Series rods

I bought a ASR 7'2" MH about 2 months ago for pitching and throwing jigs. Being a $75 dollar rod, I wasn't expecting too much but they looked good and I've always thought All Star made a good rod so I went ahead and got it. So far this spring, it's the rod I've got the most use out of. It's fairly light, plenty sensitive and can withstand a rock solid hookset. It handles really well and has great backbone strength. I have a Revo Premier on it right now and the overall combined weight is minimal for a MH set-up over 7' long.

I would recommend that anyone looking for a rod under $100 to give the ASR's a look. I'm glad I did. I'm ordering another one (maybe two) tomorrow.

X2

my two are still going strong and after a 4 months of use, I still love everything about them

Where are you ordering from??  I know Delos had them a couple months ago but I cant find them on thier site anymore and cabelas is selling them for $99 and they arent even in stock.

Yea I was lookin to buy some baitcasting rods and have looked at some more expensive set ups and I was iffy on just going with a ASR b/c looked pretty sweet now I know secound hand they are good I will have to give a secound look at em

I have two of the same 7'2 MH models and love em, i use them for jigs/tubes/ikas, i have 200 curados on them and love, LOVE the set up!

Are these the same blanks as on the Team All Star IM-10, with different split grips on them instead?

Yeah i htink so, but the action seems alot faster to me, which i like in a heavy worm/jig rod.

Has anyone used that bobbysfishinrods.com if so how were they and if not does anyone know of any other websites that carry them besides cabelas because there on back order.

I have been waiting for someone to comment on these for months now, I have been wanting to buy one but haven't bit the bullet yet.

Go ahead, take a bite

I actually just canceled my ASR order from Cabelas. The order has been pushed all the way to May 15th now from April 2nd.

I just went ahead and ordered fro Airrus Rods.

The ASR rods are not in the 2008  All Star catolog . Anyone know if they've been discontinued?
