i was just wondering what size rod is best for flipping and pitching. i've been using a 7' rod and i don't know if you want a shorter one or longer one. what is the better idea?

I like using a long rod like a 7 1/2 footer.

I rarely flip baits, but I pitch with nearly every rod I own. From 5'6" to 8' I will pitch with most any rod. Most guys pitch with 7' plus rods. I often pitch around docks and laydowns with a 5 1/2' stick, it's very accurate.
