What are some good lures to use for bass when there is fast moving currrent? :-/

I usually use a 3/8 weedless jig skirtless with a sabertail bug from berkley.Cast that thing up current and let it drift down.(repeat several times)Gonna guess you can do that with almost any creature bait and get that reaction bite as it's drifting pass them.

This was my hot technique i used in the spring.Nailed some nice size smallmouths and largemouths.  

fast moving current = willow leaf spinnerbaits, or in line spinners.  Use a quatering downstream cast.  Keep the blade spinning.

Anticipate a strike when the bait reaches the end of the line and sweeps accross the stream.

Jigs are also good because crawfish like the rocks that are usually found in fast moving water.

Just be prepared to loose a few.   A good choice for smallies is a plain round jighead with any kind of dark curly tail grub.

These are very effective yet cheap.

Have you tried an fat IKA yet? Heavy enough to get down in current and when tx-rigged backwards on a EWG hook you won't get hung up all the time. Best of all, they flat work!

I fish some pretty fast water for smallmouths and find that a willowleafed spinnerbait works very well.  A BPS XPS Pro Crank in splatterback has gotten me some good fish too.
