I recently tore down a Sienna reel and would like to know how much grease do I put on the gears...Should I put a generous amount or just a light coat?

What about the ball bearing on the pinion shaft..Should that get grease or just oiled??

I usually grease my gears and oil my bearings

One drop will do for the bearings.  I apply a light grease to the base of the teeth of the gears.
