Spike-It worm dip

Featured Replies

I like to use Spike-It worm dip on my plastics. I was using it the other day & spilled some on the metal ledge of my new Lund boat. Any suggestions on how to get it off?

Try the Mr. Clean magic eraser. I have never tried it on spike-it dye but that thing can clean ANYTHING. I really suggest you get this. If it doesn't work then you wasted a few bucks. Its not expensive at all

OOOOOOOOOOOOuch

that could be tough. It is after all a plastic dye.

I would call spike it.  You can't be the first guy who did this.  I'm sure they will have some advice

good luck

Go to the Spike-it web site. They sell a neutralizer that will get that out of carpet. But I'm not sure about the metal. I know it doesn't work on the seats.

It's the fourth one down.

OUCH :-/  Perfect example why i always used it extended outwards with my hands away from the boat... hmm dont worry though i learned the hard way too, fishign from back i dumped the whole thing in my old plano box, needles to say spike it will eat a whole through soft plasticsa when it has covered more then half of them, also you can go ahead and throw out your tackle if you get the stuff out you still have dyed cranks, sucks when your useing blue or red.   Um as for cleanign the boat, Orange clean,Kaboom, maybe pressure washign fluid with a presure washer. I dunno be VERY CAREFUL with the presure washer if you take that road agian i learned the hard way, i lost some sidding on the side of my parents house when i was washign my turch next to it lol..... Hope i helped you some :o

I contacted Spike-It yesterday & they think their neutralizer will work on the boat. Thanks to all.

Get Plano's biggest waterproof utility and pull out the two dividers.  Keep your dyes in this box.  Whenever you plan to dye something, do it over this open box.  If you spill, you spill in the box and nowhere else.  You can let the bait dry on the lid.  It only takes a few seconds.

You can stash the box about anywhere in the boat.  Under the console is a good spot during a day of fishing.
