I've heard through the grapevine that Basspro has a deal where, if you bring in a compre or a crucial series rod and its broken, theres a no questions asked rod replacement. Is there any truth or just wishfull thinking?

    The Compre and Crucial are part of Shimano's counter warranty program.  Participating retailers will exchange them at no charge.
