Hey all, first time posting.

I need some tips for choosing a new reel and rod. My dad use to work for Stren and he got a lot of reels and rods that he has given me, but they are old and worn and it seems like the technology in rods and reels has been improved. I am currently using a Daiwa TD2Hi and a 7'0 Quantum XL QXLC, I am usually throwing football head jigs with Rage Tail trailers and different weighted plastics. I was wondering what some of you all had to say for a nice 7'0 rod and reel for mostly jigging and plastics.
