Would this be a good rod for light jigs

Recommended Posts

Im picking up a Shimano Cumara 7'2 M (CUSDX72M) next week off of a guy for $100 bucks "killer deal". What do you guys think do you think this would be a good rod for light jigs i throw a lot of 3/16 ounce and 1/8 ounce jigs for smallies and largemouth although they have trailers so that probably adds a little weight to them. I cant pass this deal up for a Cumara i have one already in a casting but this one is a spinning was thinking this would be perfect for light jigs and small Texas Rigged plastics. What do you guys think?

Don't use rods that long but like you said"can't pass this deal up". Also sounds like it would be great for what you are wanting it for :)...

That's a great deal on a great rod.

For my small jigs, I exclusively use an Airrus Puls-R 6'3" M. It is an AWESOME rod for small jigs. It is a great rod with just enough tip, and a lot of backbone.

They is a powerful rod dont let the m fool you it is very stiff and a fast rod you could use it for heavier stuff.
