Is my rod too short for hardcore swimbaiting?

Featured Replies

Ive got a 7'0" XH Carrot stick rated 1/2-2oz and was wondering if it was too short for bigger, lets say 6 inch hard swimbaits. Thanks ;)

Too short for any appreciable casting distance.

I get an extra 10-15 yards from that Okuma/Slammer than when I throw the Slammer on a 7' BPS PQ HXF.

You can't beat the Okuma sticks for the money.  The 7'11 H is the one you were using last week.  $110 from Tackle Warehouse with free shipping.
