I currently run 30lb braid with a 3ft leader of 15lb halo F/C.  I open water jig from 5 to 30ft of water- is the 15lb leader too much you think?  I like the idea of hard hooksets and extra strength as it is generally really rocky where my jig goes.  I catch fish but wonder if I might be scaring away line shy bass. What do you think?
